After careful consideration, we want to inform you that ElephantSQL will be discontinuing its services. The process is expected to be completed within the next year , reaching end of life on January 27, 2025. During this transition, you will have the time to move to alternative solutions.

We have begun the process of discontinuing ElephantSQL. While this doesn't mean the service will cease immediately, it is time to consider your options.

Is it possible to migrate our data?

Yes! Create a recent backup and download your full data. There's plenty of PostgreSQL providers to choose from, your data will be importable.

Ok, I've moved my data, how do I delete my account?

No problem, just pay any outstanding invoices and delete your team.

I think we maybe use this service, but we're not sure. How can I check?

Look for any connections or connection strings to *.db.elephantsql.com and if you're still unsure, reach out to ElephantSQL support.

We have the IP/hostname of your service configured on devices we cannot update. What should we do?

Regrettably, there is no feasible method to sustain the use of the current hostnames and IPs associated with our services post end-of-life. If you are on a dedicated plan we encourage you to contact support to discuss available options.

Do I have to pay full price after the announcement?

Yes, we commit to maintaining the service and upholding our Service Level Agreement (SLA) until the end-of-life period.

Is there any possibility of extending the service online beyond the stated period?

Unfortunately, extending the service beyond the defined timeframe is not feasible. We invite you to engage with us to explore potential alternatives.

Will our data be retained?

No, we will not retain any data after the blackout period. However, ample time will be provided for data migration.

Will you be introducing new features throughout 2024?

No, our focus during 2024 will be on addressing critical issues covered under our SLA, rather than developing new features.

Will you address bug fixes throughout 2024?

Yes, we are committed to rectifying all critical bugs within the specified timeframe.
