Point in time restore

Written by Anders Bälter

In addition to resetting and restoring to pg_dump backups you can now restore your instance to any point in time. This is done by resetting to our most recent base backup before the chosen time and then replaying the WAL. You find this option under the "Backup" tab.

When you create new instances as a point in time recovery of a running instance you can set a time in the future(!) (or past) when the new instance should stop waiting for more WALs and be promoted.

From our customer portal fork your GCE instance into an AWS instance, or set up a Softlayer leader with an Azure follower.
